Every child deserves a happy and successful childhood, one that prepares them for successes in their early and school years through adulthood. Poverty, neglect, abuse, violence and learning disabilities can significantly inhibit a child’s potential for success.
St. Mary’s Child Center is a not-for profit education center in downtown Indianapolis. Through its programs and in partnership families, the center enables children to reach their potential. Since 1961, St. Mary’s Child Center has been a leader in providing a full range of services for children who are desperately in need.
St. Mary’s Child Center is focused on helping young children who are at great risk for a wide range of social, emotional, economic and environmental problems and whose needs are not being adequately met by other private or public entities. Part of the center’s mission is to preserve reverence for the life and dignity of every single child. The St. Mary’s Child Center experience gives children a nurturing and positive educational and emotional environment.
Every person affiliated with the St. Mary’s Child Center – from its full-time staff and volunteers to the Godparents who support its mission – are passionately committed to the young children the center serves.
St. Mary’s Child Center receives funding from private donations, corporations, grants and program fees. One hundred percent of St. Mary’s Child Center proceeds go directly into day-to-day operations.
